「暗夜行路」論――作為〈作家〉的時任謙作――

「暗夜行路」的男主角時任謙作是一個小說家,但是在先行研究中被指出是個無法依靠寫作維生的小說家。整篇作品中看不到他完成哪一個滿意的作品,只見他持續述說著寫不出來的痛苦。郭南燕將此現象稱為時任謙作的「〈書寫〉行為的空轉」。上田穂積承繼郭南燕的觀察分析說, 時任謙作的「〈書寫〉行為」之所以會發生的「空轉」或許是因為他「過度功利地利用了「〈書寫〉」所造成的反撲。 撰寫這篇論文的目的,是希望仍有進一步探究時任謙作「〈書寫〉行為空轉」成因的空間。

英文摘要

Kensaku Tokitoh, the protagonist of “A Dark Night's Passing” is a novelist, but previous studies have pointed out early on that he is a novelist who cannot make a living by “writing. Throughout “A Dark Night's Passing” there is no indication that Kensaku ever completes a satisfactory work, and he only talks about the pain of not being able to write. Guo Nan-yan called this phenomenon “the futility of the act of writing”. Hozumi Ueda, following Guo Nan-Yan's observation, says that Kensaku Tokito's “writing act” has “disabled” because he “may have been revenged for using writing” in a “too utilitarian way. This paper is written in the hope that there is still room for further investigation into the cause of the “the futility of the act of writing” in Tokitoh Kensaku.
