The Linze Huangjiawan Western Jin Wooden Slips is a litigation document concerning a family inheritance dispute. This article reviews the composition and interpretation of the slips based on previous research, clarifying the relationships between individuals and speculating on the possible truths hidden within the ambiguous statements of the conflicting parties. On this basis, it focuses on the key issues of property inheritance within the document, including the division of property among family members and the establishment of heirs in the absence of a direct descendant. This serves to observe the evolution of inheritance practice and official adjudication between the Han and Jin dynasties.
