中國科技史的研究迄今已有近百年的歷史，並逐漸形成一獨立的學門，甚至出現不少以科技史為專業的教育或研究機構。然而，此一領域已開始面臨一些發展瓶頸。筆者在此文中即嘗試從個人的研究涉獵以及主觀角度出發，建議除應深化傳統的研究領域外，未來或應多考慮研究跨學科、題材跨國界、關懷跨時空、訴求跨社會等幾大面向，文中並舉例加以說明。

The field of the history of Chinese science has developed over nearly a century and has been gradually recognized as an independent discipline. More and more institutes or research centers are founded in universities. However, this field is facing some bottlenecks in further development. The author tries to suggest in this article some possible perspectives for future research under the limits of personal knowledge and subjective opinion. In addition to deepening traditional research topics, the author proposes through some examples to pursue studies that can cross the frontiers of disciplines and countries. To gain more recognition and support from society, we also need to encourage studies on STS (Science, Technology and Society).
