本文旨在介紹至今英國定期遠洋航運史的研究成果，並兼論官方補助政策的貢獻。除了傳統的研究途徑之外，本文介紹以人物傳記為中心的著作，以及應用社會科學理論在航運史學研究的初步成果。最後本文提示未來可行的研究方向。

This article addresses the current state of research on British liner shipping history and the contribution of the official policy of subsidies to this industry. In addition to traditional research approaches, this essay also introduces biographical research and applies social science theories to the topic of the history of shipping. In its last section, this article suggests further research topics that hold promise.
