西方政體(political regimes)類型知識在晚清時期的導入和傳佈，是近、現代中國(政治)思想變遷的重要面向之一。本文以蔣敦復與王韜的論說及思考為例證，由其思想變遷的具體歷史脈絡入手，考察西方政體類型知識的「概念工程」在晚清中國思想界的創造與轉化，以期為近代中國政治知識∕政治思想多樣繁富的變遷樣態提供更深入的理解。
英文摘要
The introduction of knowledge of the different types of Western political regimes was the driving force for conceptual change in late Qing China. This essay focuses on the ideas of Jiang Dunfu and Wang Tao, analyzing the sources of their knowledge, their contribution to the introduction and growth of this knowledge in China, and how they used this knowledge to discuss the future of the monarchical regime of the Qing Empire.
