雙溪大年是馬來西亞半島北部吉打州內華人比例第二高的城市，華人人口以潮州人居多。然而，由於受到檳城的影響，雙溪大年福建人雖然不是華人人口最多的籍貫，但地方的強勢方言卻是福建話。鑒於雙溪大年與檳城毗鄰，再加上檳城福建話之影響力，雙溪大年福建話通常被認為與「檳城福建話」無異。為探討雙溪大年福建話是否與「檳城福建話」有別，以及雙溪大年福建話在與潮州話的接觸下是否呈現出不一樣的特點，本文使用《方言調查字表》記音，對所記錄的雙溪大年福建語音與檳城福建話及 10 個福建語音原籍地進行對比，從聲韻調等方面分析雙溪大年福建話特點，並初步探討雙溪大年潮州話對於當地福建話產生影響的可能性。雙溪大年福建話的語音系統整體偏向漳州音，但在個別字上會出現少數的泉州音與漳州音並存的情況。雙溪大年福建話較為顯著的特點包括陰去前字變調以陰平調為主流以及陰入調以低促調為主流的現象。針對陰去前字變調出現高平調和高降調，本文提出了福建話與潮州話相互影響而產生變化的可能性。此外，雙溪大年福建話的特點也包括多無音字、多訓讀字、和一字多音。本文認為雙溪大年福建話可被歸作「北馬福建話」言語社區的一部分，但其福建話不該被稱作「檳城福建話」。

　　In Sungai Petani, a city in Kedah in northern Peninsular Malaysia, Hokkien is the dominant local dialect, despite Teochew people being the most populous of the Chinese community. Influenced by Penang, the Sungai Petani Hokkien (SPH) dialect has sometimes been considered the same as Penang Hokkien (PH). To explore whether SPH differs from PH, and whether it has been influenced by the Teochew dialect, this article compares SPH with PH and ten Southern Min dialect-speaking regions in China, analyzing phonetic, rhyme, and intonation characteristics of SPH. This article found that the phonetic system of SPH leans toward the Zhangzhou dialect, with T1 being the dominant tone sandhi of T5 and the low-stopped tone being the dominant tone of T7. Mutual influence of the Hokkien and Teochew dialects may cause the appearance of a high-level tone and high-falling tone in the tone sandhi of T1. This article concludes that SPH can be considered part of the northern Peninsular Malaysia Hokkien speech community but it should not be recognized as PH.
