中文摘要

目的:相位角透過生物電阻抗分析儀測量,是反應細胞健康程度以及判斷高齡者身體功能和表現的一個重要健康指標。對高齡者來說,提高日常身體活動與減少靜態行為是預防慢性疾病、增強體能表現等最基礎且有效的策略。本文旨在回顧所有關於高齡者身體活動與靜態行為和相位角的關聯性研究。方法:依據範域文獻回顧的方法,透過PubMed、Scopus、Medline (via EBSCOhost)、science direct以及Airiti library華藝線上圖書館等五個資料庫,查閱過去至2023年08月31日之間,具備同儕審查機制的所有相關之中英文文獻。結果:初步搜尋得到68篇文獻,經過篩選,最終納入10篇相關文獻。其中5篇為觀察型研究 (4篇橫斷性、1篇縱貫性) ,有2篇探討到靜態行為時間,5篇為實驗型研究。多數研究發表於2023年 (4篇),日本為最多發表國家 (3篇)。身體活動測量多採用客觀測量工具 (4篇),生物電阻抗測量儀器多為多頻分析儀 (7篇),其中日本TANITA和韓國InBody均有2篇。整體而言,中高強度身體活動與高齡者相位角呈顯著正相關;少數研究 (2篇) 指出輕強度身體活動和靜態行為時間與高齡者相位角無顯著相關;運動介入會提高高齡者相位角,且脫離介入後,相位角數值會顯著下降。結論:未來需更多研究探討高齡者靜態行為模式 (如:靜態行為回合次數、中斷靜態行為的頻率) 與相位角之關聯性,尤其需要縱貫性設計來進一步瞭解身體活動和靜態行為與相位角之因果關係。其次,運動介入可考慮設計不同強度、頻率、與多元運動內容之方案以提高相位角數值。最後,本土相關研究證據尚待建立。

英文摘要

Purposes: Phase Angle (PhA) is a crucial health indicator that reflects cellular health and evaluates older adults’ physical function and performance. For the aged population, enhancing physical activity (PA) and minimizing sedentary behavior (SB) are fundamental and effective strategies to prevent chronic diseases and enhance physical performance. This review aims to encompass all studies on the association between PA, SB, and PhA in the older population. Methods: Guided by the scoping review approach, five databases - PubMed, Scopus, Medline (via EBSCOhost), Science Direct, and Airiti Library, were utilized to retrieve all relevant peer-reviewed articles in both Chinese and English published up to August 31, 2023. Results: An initial search yielded 68 articles, of which 10 were ultimately included after screening. Five had observational designs (four cross-sectional and one longitudinal), two addressed sedentary behavior duration, and five had experimental designs. Most studies were published in 2023 (four articles), with Japan being the predominant publishing country (three articles). PA was mainly measured using a triaxial accelerometer (four articles), and bioelectrical impedance instruments predominantly utilized multi-frequency measurements (seven articles) with brands like TANITA (Tokyo, Japan)(two articles) and InBody (Seoul, Korea)(two articles). A significant positive correlation was observed between moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA) and PhA in the older population. A minority of studies (two) indicated that light intensity physical activity (LPA) and sedentary duration are not significantly related to PhA. Exercise interventions elevated PhA; additionally, a significant decline was noticed after the cessation of the intervention. Conclusions: Future research is imperative to explore the association between sedentary patterns (e.g., sedentary bouts [30 mins/bout] and sedentary breaks [any breaks]) and PhA in older adults. A longitudinal design is essential to further understand the causal relationship between PA, SB, and PhA. Additionally, exercise interventions could consider incorporating varying intensities, frequencies, and diverse content. Lastly, more domestic evidence is needed.
