Providence University has implemented a three-stage framework targeting all students to promote digital humanities and AI education, aiming to enhance digital literacy and AI application skills while preserving the core values of the humanities. This framework includes university-wide foundational AI courses, interdisciplinary credit programs, and a degree program. The curriculum covers technologies such as big data analysis, text mining, virtual character modeling, and augmented reality (AR), emphasizing AI as a supportive tool to foster critical thinking and ethical reflection in the humanities. Through the Ministry of Education's Digital Humanities Initiative, the university integrated AI into foundational courses, notably revamping the freshman programming course to ensure all students grasp basic AI concepts and understand its role in supporting humanistic development. Subsequently, interdisciplinary credit programs were developed, ultimately culminating in a degree program to promote interdisciplinary learning and collaboration while enhancing students' practical skills and employability. During the implementation process, the university addressed challenges in resource allocation and collaboration by adopting multiple measures, including expanding cross-department credit recognition to 20 credits, adjusting enrollment quotas, and establishing resource-sharing platforms and interdisciplinary faculty training programs to resolve issues related to resource distribution and staffing shortages. These initiatives not only strengthen students' innovative application and interdisciplinary collaboration skills but also highlight the core values of humanistic inquiry. With the assistance of AI, students are empowered to explore humanity and values in a digitized society, laying a solid foundation for the sustainable development of digital humanities education.
