臺南學研究的重要先驅者盧嘉興，研究的面向非常多元，累積的成果也相當豐碩。至今已受重視的主要是有關古蹟考證、宗教信仰調查及臺灣鹽業等相關研究，而對其考索歷史人物成果之論述則顯得相對匱乏。筆者根據盧嘉興所編個人〈已發表著作一覽表〉，發現其於1965年9月至1972年6月之間，曾密集撰寫歷史人物傳記，幾乎是每月一文，直到1980年仍有相關文章發表，有別於他過去的探討主題，這個現象值得進一步探討。本文擬從撰寫特色切入，概論盧氏人物傳記的編撰情形，並結合當時的社會、政治環境探究其編寫歷史人物傳記的動機。

Lu Chia-Hsing, an important pioneer in the study of Tainan studies, has a very diverse range of research and has accumulated fruitful results. So far, the most important researches are related to historical sites research, religious belief investigation, and Taiwan salt industry, while the discussion on the results of research on historical figures is relatively scarce. Based on the personal "List of Published Works" compiled by Lu Jia-xing, the author found that between September 1965 and June 1972, he had intensively written biographies of historical figures, almost one article per month, and related articles were still published until 1980 , which is different from his past research topics, this phenomenon deserves to be further explored. This article intends to start from the characteristics of writing, summarize the compilation of Lu's biographies, and combine the social and political environment at that time to explore his motivation for writing biographies of historical figures.
