西門慶與應伯爵之間,名義是「兄弟」,實乃主子與幫閒,照理說西門慶具 有更高的權力,卻又能處處看見應伯爵荒唐的僭越以及西門慶的放縱與容忍。兩 人達成看似平衡關係的原因,或許透過彼此玩笑的往來,能有所窺見。 《金瓶梅》中的應伯爵是說笑的箇中好手,除了擅說笑話,他也靈機應變, 以機智言語或滑稽行為製造笑鬧氣氛,使自己獲得西門慶的青睞。但其實,應伯 爵的笑謔言語行為中,能窺見他審時度勢、淫穢人品及隱忍的防衛與攻擊。本文 以應伯爵說的玩笑與諧謔行為主要研究對象,透過應伯爵的笑話探索其深層心 理;並以應伯爵與西門慶玩笑的語境,進而了解應伯爵與西門慶之間的友誼與權 力關係。
The relationship between Hsi-men Ch’ing and Ying Bojue were nominal brothers as well as master and servant. Consequently, Hsi-men Ch’ing should have had higher authority over Ying Bojue, but many cases have shown the absurd arrogation of Ying Bojue and the indul gent and tolerant attitude of Hsi-men Ch’ing. The reason lying behind this seemingly balanced relationship perhaps could be uncovered through their humorous interaction. Chin P’ing Mei depicted loads of wine-and-dine scenes interwoven with jokes; among which, Ying Bojue was adept at telling jokes and he always could take good advantage of joke strategies in non-equivalent power relationships. Apart from telling jokes, Ying Bojue was adaptive for creating joyful atmosphere with his resourceful. The current study primarily examined the jokes and drollery of Ying Bojue and analyzed his personality. The study results lead us to understand the joking context between Ying Bojue and Hsi-men Ch'ing, and further provide deeper insights for the relationship between them.
