本文是以常見於戰國(476-221 B.C.)秦國和後來秦朝(221-207 B.C.)俗稱繭瓶或鴨蛋瓶的陶器為觀察重點,觀察與此一瓶式相關的幾個議題。此包括:一、和東北亞朝鮮半島、日本類似瓶式的可能關係;二、中國區域繭瓶隨著時代在功能上的變化,亦即從實用器到明器而後進入禮器世界並成了宮廷的賞鑑文物;三、觀察朝鮮王朝(1392-1897)繭瓶及受到此一影響的日本江戶時期(1603-1816)陶瓷繭瓶的使用情況;四、結合周邊資料提示中國陶繭瓶與地中海塞浦路斯桶形陶器的可能關連。
This study focuses on the prevailing ceramic vessel in the state of Qin during the Warring States period (475-221 BC) and the subsequent Qing dynasty (221-207 BC), commonly referred to as the cocoon-shaped bottle or duck’s egg bottle. It investigates the following subject matters related to the vessel form: (1) the probable relationships to similar vessel forms in the areas of Northeast Asia (Korea and Japan), (2) the transformations in functionality of the cocoon-shaped bottle in different times of China, namely the changes from utility ware, funerary objects to ritual vessels as well as the cultural artifacts for appreciation, (3) the utilization of cocoon-shaped bottles during the Joseon period (1392-1897) and the influenced of such in Japan during the Edo period (1603-1816), (4) the possible association between the Chinese cocoon-shaped bottle and the Cypriot barrel jug suggested with the peripheral information.
