白居易是唐代士人奉佛虔謹的著名典範，其傳世詩文及佛教相關作品數量之多，皆冠於唐人。白氏學佛歷程所涉及的宗派法門，又頗複雜，如何確實呈現其佛學思想與學佛歷程，難度也是較高的，有許多須待突破、釐清之處。朱金城《白居易集箋校》是目前《白居易集》最完整的箋注本，本書對白氏佛教相關作品的箋注，有三項主要缺失：一、引用文獻不當。二、箋注錯誤或箋注不當。三、宜有注而未注。另外，孫昌武〈白居易與禪〉一文，專論洪州禪對白氏的廣泛影響，本文對其立論上的主要缺失，亦有剖判。本文包含兩個子題：一、朱金城《白居易集箋校》（佛教相關部份）的幾項缺失。二、評孫昌武〈白居易與禪〉。
英文摘要
This article discuss Chu Chinc-heng's editing errors relating to Buddhism within his Commentaries on the Works of Pai Chu-yi, and Sun Chang-wu's "Pai Chu-yi and Zen".
