This paper intends to study college students' attitudes toward political rights, and what factors affect their attitudes toward political rights. According to our results of interview with 937 college students in Taiwan, they are quite liberal in some cases, but in terms of freedom of person, freedom of travel for political dissident, qualification of presidential candidates, and censorship of moves and television, they are still quite conservative. There are long-term and short-term influences on political attitudes and behavior. In this paper, long-term influences of human rights attitudes are examined, these factors include political socialization, authoritarian personality, and political predisposition. Among these factors, political predisposition has more direct influence on college students' attitudes toward political rights, while the effect of authoritarian personality is negative. Political socialization has very little effect on their political right attitude.
