蘇雪林在中國近代文學史上被譽為新文學的第一代女作家，享壽一百零三歲，著作等身，範圍遍及神話、散文、小說、戲劇、童話、雜文等；其中最被學界曯目的是《棘心》、《綠天》兩書以及神話研究，並且產生了既定的論述思維。本文提出蘇雪林的尚武思想，以凸顯其個人特質以及與同時期女作家之異別。蘇雪林的尚武精神可以解釋其一生反共反魯，以及在五四運動與學術研究上成為一個特立獨行之人的重要心態。

Su xue-lin was known as one of the first generation of female writers of new literature in modern Chinese literature history. She passed away at the age of 103 and left prolific works including mythology, prose, novels, dramas, fairy tales, essays…etc. Among the works, ji xin、 lu tian and mythology research works earned academic attention most , and established a fixed mode of thinking. This essay refers to Su xue-lin’s force advocating thoughts to highlight her individual characteristics and the difference between her and other female writers at the same period. Su xue-lin’s force advocating thoughts are able to explain her attitudes toward anti- communism / anti-Lu xun and being a maverick in academic research and May-Fourth-Movement.
