On the basis of previous studies, this paper makes two supplementary explanations of words in Sheming of The eighth book of bamboo slips from the Warring States period collected by Tsinghua University by referring to the ancient phonetic knowledge and handed down documents. The first is that hu(戶)is the phonetic element. Jia( )is a variant of jia(叚).The second is that gao(高)in gaofeng naishen(高奉乃身)means respectfully, and feng(奉)means maintain. Gaofeng naishen(高奉乃身)can be understood as respectfully maintain your own moral character and integrity.
