本文論證「毀」是从臼从土从殳的會意字，本義即是毀壞，其上古音可以構 擬為*qhwrajʔ。
英文摘要
This paper demonstrates that hui(毀)is a syssemantograph made up of jiu (臼), tu(土)and shu(殳), then its original meaning just is “destroy”. The Old Chinese sound of hui(毀)should be reconstructed as *qhwrajʔ.
