The classic of hermeneutics in this paper means lexicon and rhythmic dictionary. (1) Pigu(i 䤨摫) is explicated as tailor for being mogu(i 眽瞡)’s transferred words in both Fangyan(《方言》)and Guangya(《廣雅》). This sense comes from sight.(2)Chu(絀)is explicated as Jiang(絳)which meaning is dark red in Shuowenjiezi (《說文解字》). In fact, Jiang(絳) is a writing mistake because of the similar formation between Jiang(絳) and Feng(縫). And Chu, in this case, is Zhuo(綴)’s transferred word. (3) Lang(硠) means the sound of rock in Shuowen. After ordering thoughts, we find lang has no mistake. Instead, it’s the transferred word of Long(隆), which explanation is loud. (4) Pize(稫稄) in Tangyun(《唐韻》)should be Piji(稫稷), transferring from Bice(偪側or逼側) which means forcing. (5) Jian(㔓) in Yupian(《玉篇》) should be Jian( ). This character’s pronunciation comes from Gan(干).
