唐代文學家韓愈撰寫的浙江龍游徐偃王廟碑文，指出徐偃王被滅國後或是 逃到浙江的「越城」。這一有關徐國的佚史長期以來未受到史學界的關注。根據 紹興兩次發現的徐國青銅器銘文，並結合地方誌記載，我曾先後撰文指出從出 土文物的角度可佐證韓愈之說。新近獲見六件徐器鳥蟲書銘青銅句鑃拓本資 料，銘文有徐人首領為不致「亡徐之族」斷絕，「四稽」後隨從「越」國的記 載，這為徐人滅國後進入浙江的歷史提供了直接的可信證據。

The inscription on the Temple of King Xu Yan in Longyou, Zhejiang, written by Han Yu, a litterateur of Tang dynasty points out that the King Xu Yan may have fled to the “Yue city” of Zhejiang after the collapse of the Xu state. The missing historical data of the Xu state has received little attention of historians for a long time. According to the inscriptions of bronze vessels of Xu state found in Shaoxing for twice, combining with the local chronicles, I have written articles to discuss that the view of Han Yu could be supported by the unearthed cultural relics. The newly seen six rubbings of bird-insect inscriptions bronze gou diaos of Xu state bear the inscriptions showing that Xu people have followed the Yue state to avoid the extinction of “the survivors of Xu people” after investigating around. Those inscriptions provide trustworthy evidences of Xu people entering Zhejiang after the collapse of the Xu state.
