This article focuses on the character of “shen 紳” in the passage of “shen liang he er ren zhi 紳兩和而紉之 (to bind up the two wings into a single column),” from the “Chen Gong Zhibing 陳公治兵” Chapter, in Shanghai Bowuguan Cang Zhanguo Chu Zhushu IX 上海博物館藏戰國楚竹書（九）. It also addresses the semantic connections between the characters of “liang 兩,” “ren 紉,” and “zhi 之.”
