王世慶任職臺灣省文獻委員會30餘年之久，並長期負責督導管理省文獻會典藏檔案，對《臺灣總督府檔案》之保存整理、推廣應用卓有貢獻，已為研究者所熟知。本文透過檔案內容與相關記載，除略敘省文獻會沿革與《臺灣總督府檔案》檔案接收過程外，主要以典藏管理及論著研究兩個面向，再深入細節，加以考察討論王世慶在省文獻會早期管理《臺灣總督府檔案》過程，來重新理解王世慶對《臺灣總督府檔案》整理推廣工作及相關貢獻。而由這些考察，發現王世慶不論在管理，或者推廣應用等面向，確實展現了與同儕不同做法，做出了有意義的貢獻。

Wang Shih-ching has served in the Provincial Documents Committee of Taiwan for more than 30 years, and has been responsible for managing the Archives of the Government of Taiwan( Taiwan Sotokufu) for a long time. Through the contents of the archives and related records, in addition to briefly describing the history of the Historical Research Commission of Taiwan Province Provincial Documents Committee of Taiwan and the archives reception process of the Archives of the Government of Taiwan( Taiwan Sotokufu), this study considers collection management and research. From these investigations, it is found that Wang Shih-ching has indeed demonstrated a different approach from his peers in terms of management, promotion and application, and has made meaningful contributions.
