本文是以佛使法的社會主義觀念到素叻左翼佛教實踐為主題的系 列論文的其中一環,旨在探討現代泰國佛教,佛使與素叻一僧一俗,在 法的社會主義和左翼佛教之間的關係。本文會以這兩個觀念的部份觀點 為線索,分析其間的延續、發展及差異,尤其試圖探討佛使的觀點,常 以兼具左、右翼立場而富內在張力著名,以素叻的激進角度,他是如何 能上承佛使之說。本文由三節組成:一,佛使與素叻的成長對比。二, 佛使法的社會主義選析;三,素叻的實踐對佛使的批判性繼承。本文的 討論同時會參考,及在需要時回應時下學界佛使研究的主要觀點。
This article is one of the writing series on the transmission from Buddhadāsa Bhikkhu’s idea of Dhammic Socialism to Sulak Sivaraksa’s engaged Buddhist practice. The present article is tried to study the intellectual connection between two individuals’ essential ideas, through particular aspects. The continuity, development, differences, even the tension between the two key figures of Engaged Buddhism in Thailand. How Sulak Sivaraksa’s radical practice can adopt Buddhadāsa Bhikkhu’s without conflict is a point deserved to be concerned for further analysis, since Buddhadāsa’s idea of Dhammic Socialism is famous for the internal tension grown between its conservative and more liberal aspects. The article is composed of three sections. Firstly, comparative description on Buddhadāsa and Sulak’s intellectual growing path. Secondly, analysis on selected aspects from Dhammic Socialism. Thirdly, Sulak’s critical developing of his master’s idea by Engaged Buddhist practice. Current study on Buddhadāsa will be discussed and responded.
