In addition to being an important channel of information dissemination during the Japanese Colonial period, the broadcast also had an important function of combat readiness at the late stages of the war. Since the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, how to use the resources of the "Taiwan Broadcasting Association" located in the southernmost part of the Japanese Empire has become even more important for Japan. Previous studies have mostly focused on the changes in the time and content of Taiwan’s local broadcast programs by the Taiwan Broadcasting Association, or on the production of "overseas broadcasting." Few people talked about the position of the staff of the Taiwan Broadcasting Association in the construction of the Greater East Asia Co-prosperity Sphere. This article focuses on the southern dispatch of employees of the Taiwan Broadcasting Association since 1941. Based on the literature, official materials and oral memories of the time, this article discusses the contents of the work in various periods of war and southern construction for the employees Among the four southern dispatches, the Taiwan Broadcasting Association first arrived in Malaya and Singapore from the military recording class, and then the three dispatched staff all arrived in the Philippines, including Manila and Cebu. In the early days of the war, the military recording class brought back abundant recording results, which were broadcasted in Taiwan and Japan, and edited into discs for distribution. The staff of the Taiwan Broadcasting Association later took on important positions in broadcast bureaus in the Philippines and thus established the broadcast business there. In sum, this article believes that during the war, the Taiwan Broadcasting Association was not only a broadcast organization for "colonial Taiwan", but also an important role that provided hardware, technology, and personnel in the broadcast network of the Greater East Asia Co-prosperity Sphere.
