本文藉由回顧王世慶先生對臺灣拓殖株式會社檔案的介紹，以及促 成臺灣省文獻會與中央研究院合作，進行對於臺拓研究的歷程與發展。 時至今日，臺拓研究已累積許多成果，研究途徑也從早先的成立過程與 組織變遷，逐漸移轉到區域與軍需產業的探討，之後再轉變到以更多研 究途徑去分析臺拓的歷史面貌。這個脈絡的進展，也代表臺拓身為國策 會社，如何因應時局而與日本政府與軍方合作的時代角色。臺拓研究尚 有許多空間，但能有今日的成果，仍要歸功王世慶先生當年的遠見所帶 來的貢獻，本文以表悼念與追思之情。

Review article by Professor Wang Shih-Ching instrument Taiwan Development Company introduction,and to promote The Historical Research Commision of Taiwan Province cooperation with the Academia,Taiwan had conducted research for the history and development of Taiwan Development Company.Today,Taiwan had a number of studies have accumulated results of Taiwan Development Company from earlier studies ways to set up the process and organizational changes,and gradually transferred to the region and military industry,then transition to a more research approach to analyze the history of Taiwan Development Company.The context of process,Taiwan Development Company as a national policy company,how to cooperate with the Japanese government and the military. Taiwan Development Company research have much space,but to have the results today,still attributed to Professor Wang Shih Ching vision of the contribution.This article express endless remembrance and memorial of love.
