本文以十九世紀臺灣基督長老教會的信徒為主軸，探討臺灣第一 代基督徒在改宗前後遭遇到的家庭問題及人際關係的挑戰與衝突。指出 十九世紀的臺灣基督教徒在改宗後，祭拜的對象產生改變。對家人而 言，教徒不參與「祭祖」的活動，脫離了與家庭成員的關係，引起家人 的阻撓及反對。對社會而言，教徒不參與廟會的活動，拒絕攤派，產生 與社會人際的緊張關係，也遭到原有周遭人際網絡的排斥與疏離。這些 因改宗所引起的家庭與人際衝突，具體地反映了十九世紀臺灣基督徒所 面臨的壓力及掙扎。

The subjects are first generation Christians,who are usually ignored at the edge of society.This study investigates the family and interpersonal conflict faced by Taiwanese Christians in the 19th century,and analyzes the experiences of Christians during religious and conflicts,as well as their attitude and responses when facing difficulties.This study probes into the subjective awareness of the lives of Christians,with focuses on the relationship between society and Christians,and their adjustment and transformation in their daily lives.It examines the value and interpersonal conflicts faced by Christians during conversion,and reflects the meaning of Christians pursuit of faith and self-identity.
