昭和13 年(1938)臺灣總督府以「國民精神總動員本部」名義,首次 以「台灣行進曲」為題公開舉辦愛國行進曲的詞曲甄選。最後,作詞、作曲 分別由在台日人三栗谷櫻和台灣青年陳炎興奪冠;隨後由於總督府透過唱 片、廣播等途徑的大力推行,使得「台灣行進曲」在日治末期成為放送節目 裡出現頻率頗高的「軍歌」之一,盛極一時。但隨著戰後政治環境丕變,這 段事蹟迅即銷聲匿跡,如今更沒人說得出來陳炎興是「誰」。本文將透過歷 史文獻的挖尋與比對,細部檢證陳映真〈父親〉等文所提供的部分家族史, 進而揭開一頁不為人知、長期遭到作家刻意掩滅的殖民傷痕,期使在打破經 典神話之餘讓一個時代的面貌回歸到它應有的表情,將「陳映真研究」呈現 在一個更具知性意義的新背景中。
In 1938, in the name of “General Mobilization on Citizen Spirit”, for the f irst time Taiwan Government carried out a public selection for the words and music of “Taiwan March”. At last, a Japanese who was living in Taiwan, Meguridanisakura, and a Taiwan young man, Chen, yen-hsin won the champion for words and music respectively. At last, the Office of Governor-General of Taiwan popularized the March through gramophone records, broadcast and other ways, which made “Taiwan March” become one of the most popular army songs that often heard in broadcast programs during the last phase of Japan Occupation Period. However, as the change of political conditions after the war, the deed disappeared soon. At present, few people can tell who Chen, yen-hsin is. Through the exploration and comparison on history documents, parts of family history provided in the article, Father, written by Chen, ying-chen and other articles were checked in detail in the essay so that an unknown colonial wound that had been covered painstakingly for a long time was discovered, expecting to break a classical fairy tale and let the appearance of an age return to its original status, and show the Study of Chen, ying-chen in a new background that possesses more rational meaning.
