本文從《本朝通鑑》及《大日本史》編纂背景與內容探討兩種史書的史觀演化及為政者的儒教受容之異同，人倫主義之內涵，進而從武家政治到文治政治的社會轉換與動向，論析兩部史書對南北朝正統論的經緯與異同及其與日本近代化、明治維新的關聯性。

From the construction and content of Honchô Tsugan and Dai Nihonshi, this study explores the changes in the historical perspectives of the two history books and compares the sameness and differences in terms of the reception of Confucianism among the political leaders and the concepts of the Rule of Virtue. The author discusses the social changes and transition from Japan’s military ruling to civil governance and further analyzes the similarities and differences between the two history books of the Northern and Southern Dynasties and its connection with modernization and Meiji Restoration in early modern Japan.
