日治時期「臺灣愛書會」之研究

本文以1933年4月成立的「臺灣愛書會」為主要探討的對象,試圖
從成立沿革、組織架構、幹部會議與會員組成來了解「愛書會」內部運
作的情形。其會務由臺北帝國大學、臺灣日日新報社、臺灣總督府圖書
館分工負責,除三方之長的主導外,其部屬分執編輯、執筆、活動舉辦
參與者之要務。會員多以當時在官在學的日人菁英為主,臺人則較少被
吸納其中。而「臺灣愛書會」除自1933年6月到1942年8月發行15期的
會誌《愛書》外,尚透過演講會、展覽、座談會、會員集會,舉辦許多
推廣讀書風氣,與書誌、臺灣研究相關的活動。另外更協辦跳蚤書市,
經由販賣交換舊書的概念,來增加圖書與知識的流通。而從活動的踴躍
程度,可知「臺灣愛書會」對當時書誌、書物的推廣具相當的貢獻。
英文摘要
This paper exploring Taiwan Aisho Association established
in April 1933, tries to understand the association from its setup
history, organizational structure, membership meetings, and
the inner workings. The association is operated by the Taihoku
Imperial University, the Taiwan Daily News Co. , and Taiwan
Governor’s Library. In addition to above leading organization
leaders, editing, writing, and active participants was organized
by their subordinates. Members are mostly Japanese elites; the
association absorbed less of Taiwanese. In addition from Aisho
issued in June 1933 to August 1942, the association still make
its influence through lectures, exhibitions, seminars, membership
meetings, and Taiwan's research-related activities. The
association also assists book flea market, through the concept
of trades or exchange used books to increase the circulation
of books and knowledge. From the extent of their activities,
we can see that Taiwan Aisho Association was a considerable
contribution to popularize bibliography and books.
