國史館臺灣文獻館自臺灣省通志館（1948年6月10日）成立至今， 積極從事臺灣省志的修纂工作，已超過六十個年頭。本篇文章大量引用 「臺灣省級機關檔案」藉由當時公文書往來一窺通志館成立過程及當時 人員的任用情形。

Taiwan Historica has dedicated over sixty years to edit and compile local gazetteers since it was called Common Historical Museum of Taiwan Province, which was founded on June 10th, 1948. To show the organization, staffing, and the course of establishment of Taiwan Chronicle Archive, lots of public records from The Archives of Taiwan Provincial Level Institution were quoted in this article.
