1920年代是臺灣農民運動風起雲湧的年代。相對於臺籍菁英受到 研究者的注意，農民運動中有少數支持臺人立場的日籍菁英參與，卻 較少有人探討這些日籍菁英在農民運動中的位置。其中，身為《臺南 新報》記者的泉風浪，不僅支持數個關鍵的農民組合，也參與了多場 重要的抗爭，本身更留下多本著作。本文從泉風浪的生平及經歷切 入，了解其人的性格與活動，以及其政治參與程度，再透過泉風浪的 回憶錄及著作，嘗試闡明身為一名日籍菁英，泉風浪如何看待1920年 代的臺灣農民運動，最後進一步嘗試分析他在以臺灣農民為主的農民 組合與農民運動中所扮演的位置，並從其對農組的方向及農民運動的 運作模式等看法，了解身為支持臺人立場的在臺日本人，對臺灣農民 運動的態度與侷限。

Peasant movement in Taiwan were proceeded in 1920s. Most of discussions are about the Taiwaness elites not Japaness, but they are still important. Izumi Furo is one example of them. He was a reporter in Taiwan, and until 1930s, he had concerned about the peasant movement in Taiwan and supported them. This discussion try to understand the experience of Izumi Furo from the books written by Izumi Furo first. And try to explain a Japaness elite, Izumi Furo was how to join the peasant movement in Taiwan secondly. We also want to know being a Japaness elite, Izumi Furo’s attitude and limit finally.
