Based on the data of Han people’s original families and cadastre, this
paper mainly tries to present the distribution along Tamsui River area after
numerous combats. Take the Family Lin (Lin Pen-yuan), located in the
midstream of Ta-ko-kan River where various tribes gathered, for example,
this paper tries to figure out the reasons why Changchou people became the
most powerful tribe via the analysis on the process of their fighting for land
rights and the land distribution. This paper also reconfirms Lin Pen-yuan’s
lands, rental business and the locations of the aboriginal boundary and further discovers the fact that Chanchou people’s becoming the most powerful
tribe has much to do with Family Lin’s business passed down generation to
generation from 1828. Family Lin got more rental business rights and thus
gradually became one of the most important families in this area. In the process of people’s reclaiming and rental business running, Ta-ko-kan River
fully showed it’s multiple meanings of both nature and the boundary among
various tribes.
