鸞堂，日人稱為降筆會，日治時期因為臺灣總督府鴉片政策的影 響，激起降筆會運動，造成新一波鸞堂的發展。戰後，臺灣的政治及社 會環境丕變，鸞堂也在這個變動的環境中求生存。戰後臺灣因為大陸撤 守之故，原在大陸的各類教派漸次傳入臺灣，如大陸的佛教、道教等教 派傳入臺灣，以及一貫道的傳入等，都是這種狀況。大陸的教派傳入 後，對臺灣的本土教派產生相當的衝擊，如佛教的影響，使齋堂漸次衰 微；又如一貫道入臺後迅速發展，後來成為臺灣重要的一支民間宗教教 派，都衝擊臺灣的本土教派。在這複雜的宗教環境之下，鸞堂的發展也 有所變化，部分鸞堂改變其型態以適應現代社會的發展，豐原寶德大道 院即其中的一支。本文透過對該鸞堂的鸞書及其教義進行考察，並指出 造成鸞堂此種變化的原因，作為觀察當代臺灣鸞堂發展的立足點。

Luan-T’ang which was called falling pen association by Japanese. A new development of Luan-T’ang affected by the opium policy, was undergone under the Japanese rule. The changed environment of politics and society in Taiwan forced Luan-T’ang to struggle for survival. The religions including Buddhism,Taoism, Yi-guan-dao and popular religious sects got into in Taiwan after 1945 also because of such change. The religious sects expanded in Taiwan, which have a great impact on the local sects. For example, the spread of Buddhism has caused the decline of a sect, called Zhai-tang.
