竹圍一帶為公館大坑村開發較早的區域，乃一處純粹以客家人為聚 居地的傳統聚落，村民多數務農維生。地方上的宗教信仰，主要以「伯 公」和「天神爺」（天公）為崇拜對象。 一年當中，竹圍聚落除了一般的歲時節慶以外，最重要的祭祀活 動莫過於每年農曆正月13日的「起天神福」和農曆11月冬至前的「完天 神福」，此二者不僅是竹圍聚落年中大事，同時也是竹圍聚落傳承百餘 年的地方習俗，具有深厚的文化意義，實乃地方聚落珍貴的無形文化資 產。

It is important and traditional faith to Hakka that is“Ci-Fu”and“WenFu”which the two things are teaching us to respect Nature and the Lord.“CiFu”is divided to two parts that are“Tianshenfu”and“Bagongfu”. These two parts are the rites of pray in order to piously entreat the lord to bless human beings. Tianshenfu at Jhu Wei Jhuang, Gong Guan in Miaoli is very significant faith in this area. The 21th century sees the start of the rite for a hundred year. There is the way of sacrifice that volunteers about fifty villagers are in turn to hold the rite at Jhu Wei Jhuang. The rite must be held between January 13 and winter solstice. It is the biggest thing at Jhu Wei Jhuang. It shows the most traditional and most meaningful instinct to them that is the rite of Tianshenfu. I investigated this area and interviewed the locals in 2010. I hope that is discovering the meaning of Tianshenfu at Jhu Wei Jhuang according to recording of Tianshenfu.
