二戰時期的臺灣機場到底有多少？在臺、日檔案的殘缺以及學者的 不同觀點下，一直未能有明確的結論。於是，筆者赴美蒐集盟軍檔案。 透過資料的比對與分析，已確認盟軍記載的74座機場，新發現5座機 場，澄清過去的疑團，比對出國軍、日軍與盟軍機場命名之差異，並發 掘出新的研究課題。

How many airfields were located in Taiwan during the World War II period? It’s hard to answer the question because either Taiwanese and Japanese Archives remained incompleted or the researchers’opinions were not identical.Therefore,the author went to NARA and Navy Yard for collecting American WW II Archives.Through the study and analysis,there are 74 airfields recorded by the Allied Forces.5 of them we have never heard. By these documents,we also figure out some historical enigmas and the different denominations between Taiwan,Japan and the United States. Moreover,these will lead us to develop new research subjects.
