The modern chronicles possess the functions of collecting history, political affairs, education, and culture. However, the compilation of Taiwan postwar chronicles inclined toward diversification. History of Taiwan Provincial Assembly therefore created the precedent that the official bureau led the compilation of chronicle. That is, History of Taiwan Provincial Assembly could not only be categorized as bureau chronicle, but the nature of political chronicle. The study first discusses the general postwar compilation situation of Taiwan Province (City) political chronicles. The author further explains the compilation program of History of Taiwan Provincial Assembly, and analyzes the content figures of Assembly history with the examples of historical materials. Thirdly, the author makes the comparison with the homogenous content figures and the compilation features of Assembly history. The author in the end would like to discuss the historical positions and political contributions on Taiwan authorities led chronicles.
