本文就北港鎮劉厝吳春塘家藏古文書，整理並加以介紹其價值。本批古 文書共 25 件，命名為「北港劉厝庄吳古文書」。年代上起乾隆 9 年（1744）， 下迄大正 9 年（1920），前後達 177 年之久。「北港劉厝庄吳古文書」保留 當地小土名如門口三角仔、四分、長寮、頂店、面口十七龍等。此外，一、 從契字中看到客家地名的殘留，可探究從劉屋庄變為劉厝庄的過程。二、解 析吳家在劉厝的發展，吳春塘家來臺祖吳媽尾為晉江靈水第 11 世，來臺灣 的年代可能是乾隆 14 年（1749）至乾隆 38 年（1773）之間，從第 13 世吳 俊德發跡，經吳肇吟、吳肇拜兄弟經營傳下迄今。三、從契字中追尋劉厝庄 的開發歷程，劉厝庄最早是陳立勳墾號的墾區，幾經轉手，轉變為陳瑞玉、 陳碧玉、吳源裕等數家大租戶及楊開豐等。四、見證北港地區所使用的貨幣 種類，也顯示貨幣種類幣值的演變，最早使用銀兩，至乾隆時期則使用劍銀、 花邊銀，嘉慶以後則以佛（面）銀為主，其貨幣與銀兩的兌率也隨時間遞衍 而有變化，本批古文書有 2 件可以看出銀元與銀兩的兌率，在嘉慶到道光初 年，兌率是 1 大元相當於銀兩 7 錢 3 分。

This article focuses the deed of Wu families in Liucuo, Beigang Township, and explores the value lie in the deed. The Deeds is 25 pieces totally, since 1744 A.D. to 1920 A.D. The values of these deeds are four. First, explain the land name changing from “Liucuo” to “Liuwu”. Second, Analysis the development of Wu Families since their ancestor Wu-Ma-Wei, the 11th generation of Linsui Fujian, first came to Taiwan, till today. Third, trace the exploitation of Liucuo by these deeds. Forth, understand the currency, the use of Spanish colonial silver coin, of Beigang in Qing Dynasty.
