臺灣西南沿海地區與澎湖群島，保留了漢人舉行王船祭典儀軌，最精 彩多元的風貌。其中，東港東隆宮王船組，近五十年來，維繫了由近百位 具有 1920～1960 年代木製漁船工藝的造船師傅，每 3 年乙次，全程義務不 支薪合作完成乙艘，具實際航行能力的古帆船之珍貴傳統。經由探討東港 王船的發展沿革，材質自竹編紙紮演變為實木打造的原由，東港造船師傅 所承製之東港王船，除人才濟濟，其用料與施作，均極為精湛專業，環顧 臺澎地區所製造的王船中，深具代表性。進一步研究東港木製王船的參考 原型，即東港東隆宮內 2 樓留存清代的兩艘小型南澳船，並根據文獻分析 比較，清代中、後期同一年代，盛行於江、浙、閩、粵海域航運之主要船 型，即當時官方、民間均廣泛使用的同安船，比較兩者造型外觀異同所在， 分析兩者是否系出同門。更加突顯東港王船保留了同安船系列中珍貴的衍 生船型，即清代唐山師傅所打造之南澳船的外型。但由於木造漁船的式微， 傳統造木船技術呈現難以承傳的危機，經由與老匠師們的討論，整理可行 之承造工法的保存芻議。

The Han race conserved multivariate and marvelous Wangye boat worship ceremonies at southwest coastal area on Taiwan and Penghu Islands. Especially, Wangye boat group of Tonggang Tong Long Temple consists of near one hundred of boat carpenters with 1930s Japanese wooden fishing boat building crafts. They collaborate voluntarily to build up a Wangye boat with navigational ability in every 3 years. It had been form a tradition for 5 decades from 1973. By exploring the development and chronicle of Tonggang Wangye boat. The affordable materials of Wangye boat are transferred from paper and bamboo to cypress and willow during 1970s inflation period. These shipwrights are specialized with professional and ancient marine architects. The dedications of Tonggang Wangye boat hold its representation among Taiwanese Wangye boat worship ceremonies. Furthermore, the prototype of Tonggang Wangye boat is from the Nanao boat of Shan Tou at Guangdong. According two Qing dynasty paintings of the Tongan boat in National Palace Museum,the Nanao boat at Tong Long Temple is similar with the Tongan boat and maybe is a subtype of the Tongan boat. Hence,Tonggang Wangye boat reserved features of the most famous three-masted-barque of Qing dynasty. However timber barque is no longer used and manufactured,how to maintain these shipwrights’ wooden shipbuilding crafts is an urgent issue. This study goes an extra mile to discuss with these aged shipwrights about feasibility of how to pass these shipbuilding crafts on next generation.
