南社是清末民初一個重要的文學社團，與抒情傳統的關係至為密切。在南社人的作品中，體現出經典意義上的抒情傳統的延續和回歸。在很大程度上，南社可以說是一個情感共同體。南社人在詩歌作品中不僅將精神失去傳統依靠以及面對現實的困惑，深刻地呈現了出來；並且從感覺、從個別性的層面，對同質的、抽象的普遍性提出了質詢。南社人的抒情代表了一種獨特的情感結構甚至歷史哲學。南社所表現出的情感政治，促使我們進一步去理解流動狀態的文學文化與政治。

This paper explores the relationship between the Southern Society (Nanshe，南 社), an important literary group in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republican China, and the Chinese lyrical tradition. The Southern Society should be regarded as a community united by common feelings and affections. The members’ writings, especially their classic poetry, give structure to the intellectuals’ feelings during a period of political turmoil. The lyricism of the Southern Society represents a specific kind of historical philosophy about Chinese modernity, and it can help us understand the literary milieu and cultural politics of a period of transformation.
