方以智對時間觀念的討論,包含三個方向:一、作為象數意義的時間,認為時間是一種吾人用來表天地變化的符號系統,是人類為求表述認知活動的設計;二、作為認知次序的時間,認為吾人之認識活動是一種前後相輪的關係,觀點的成立與未成立彼是相依,辯證開展;三、作為秩序意義的時間,其內涵是「寂歷同時」、「秩序變化同時」,也就是吾人對存在秩序的掌握即其對價值秩序的掌握,即存有即價值。方以智的時間觀念之建立,受到易傳與邵雍的影響很大,所以本文之作先探討它們對時間的看法,再討論方以智的時間觀。
The idea of time in the thought of Fang I-jri has three dimensions: the first, we use the concept of time as an I-symbol, the system of shiang-shu, to symbolize the change of beings. Secondly, we use the concept of time as a cognitive-order to show the relationship of the time before we give a viewpoint and after. Thirdly, we use the concept of time as an existent-value order to claim the simultaneity and the identification of the change and the order. This idea of time in Fang I-Jri is influenced by I-Juan and Shau Yung. This paper will discuss at first the concept of the time in these two systems, and then in Fang I-jri's.
