清．戴震（1723-1777年）畢生儒學涵泳，力求釐正回歸原典，由紹述孔孟建構一己孟學，他對《孟子》的剖析尤發人深省。今日，中西學術對於文本理解焦點不盡相同，然值至二十一世紀仍新興的西方詮釋學，特別是「哲學詮釋學」（philosophical hermeneutics），更可提供新觀點著於分析東原孟學。 本文無意全面考察孟學經典的詮釋傳統，而僅就開時代新風、創學術流派的思想家——戴東原進行探究，期能透過詮釋學的視域，破除經典個別主體性的時空橫亙，援古釋金，使詮釋者與經典千年相與謦欬於一堂，同時在自我理解中重新展開《孟子》經典的真理對話。

Dai Zhen (1723-1777 AD) learned from Confucianism in his whole life. He went back to original books to do his best and constructed a study of encius. Especially, He provided food for thought about his study of Mencius. Today, there is a different point of view to figure out between Chinese and Western. Until twenty-one century in Western, we can get up-to-day viewpoints in philosophical hermeneutics about Dai Zhen's study of Mencius. I do not overall figure out annotations and traditions of the study of Mencius in this text. I only carry out Dai Zhen that he created a style and learning schools in his age. I expect toeradicate individual principal part of the classics in hermeneutics and leap over ancient and modern between the scholars and classics. At the same time, I can repeat to understand the truth of dialogue about the classics of Mencius in my self.
