《聊齋誌異》的士子人物面貌非一，其中尤以「狂生」「癡子」類型者蔚為群聚，而這些士子形象的塑形根據，很大成分正是來自於作者蒲松齡自身的性格投射。唯有深入剖析蒲松齡，才能發掘《聊齋誌異》的狂生癡子們，其實正是蒲松齡的鏡中反影；而這層理解，正是解讀《聊齋誌異》創作意識中「孤憤」心態的最佳途徑。 本文擬以蒲松齡詩作為主要解析樣本，其文章詞作為輔助參照，以探究其癡狂性格的呈現與發露，並進而印證這樣的性格特質，正是《聊齋誌異》中諸般狂生癡子人物的創作靈感來源。

Literati personages in Pu Sung-ling's Liao-zhai zhi-yi have various characteristics, whose most popular types are kuansheng (wild pupil) and chizi (idiot). In fact, those images of literati personages mostly derive from the reflection of Pu Sung-ling's own disposition. Only by anatomizing the author in depth, we can find out that those kuansheng and chizi are exactly Pu's mirro reflection. Thus, such comprehension is the most appropriate approach to understand the ‘gufen’ (solitary and resentful) mental condition in the creative consciousness of Liao-zhai zhi-yi. The article will take Pu Sung-ling's poem as the main analytic text and also use his essays and ci (lyric) as the secondary reference to interrogate the presentation and reveal of his chikuan (the idiotic and wild) disposition. Furthermore, it will go on to prove that such disposition is actually the origin of his creative inspiration on various kuansheng (wild pupil) and chizi (idiot) in Liao-zhai zhi-yi.
