本文旨在省思中國古典文學研究在今日可能遭遇的困難，並試圖尋思可能突破困境的研究途徑。一方面以「抒情傳統」論述為例，談到如何在中西共生的詮釋語境下，拓展一個熱門議題的討論深廣度，以至於可以成為中國文學研究共同關注的核心議題。另一方面，以「身體」與「空間」論述為例，討論如何讓個別領域中的細部研究，可以形成一個跨學門的對話，亦即研究者本學門的專業，如何同時可以參與其他學門相關議題的討論，逐步讓核心議題研究成為跨領域的整合研究。

This essay reflects on problems that confront the study of Chinese classical literature today and attempts to seek out pathways that break out of these difficulties. First, taking the discourse of the ”lyric tradition” as an example, I discuss how one can deepen the discussion of a popular topic in a discursive context informed by both Chinese and the Western interpretative practices, so as to make that topic into a core topic within the domain of Chinese literature. Secondly, taking as an example the discourse of ”body” and ”space,” I discuss how we can form a dialogue across disciplines within each of our specialized domains of research and participate in topics of discussion shared by other disciplines, and how to gradually create holistic, cross-displinary research out of a shared core topic.
