論文而推原於「道」,以目前所知的文獻資料而言,劉勰之前及其同時期的南朝文論尚未有此論述。劉勰之後,唐、宋古文家所提倡的「道」,大體上以儒家義理為內涵。雖然先秦兩漢一些闡述學術思想、探討哲理的著作早就深入探研析論過「道」,但《文心雕龍》立〈原道〉為首篇,在中國古典文論上洵為創舉,而且有其獨特性。歷來研究《文心雕龍》的學者對於此篇,大多以劉勰的思想為主軸,來界定並詮釋劉勰文論中「道」的意義。而對劉勰思想的詮釋,又多借用自先秦兩漢家派分類觀念,或以儒、釋、道思想為基調加以詮解。如此取徑,既無法了解劉勰的用心及他對文學了解的層次;於其所論之「道」,亦未能闡明。終究成為各道其「道」,各是其是,各非其非的結果。對《文心雕龍‧原道》篇義的闡發,效果有限。本論文擬先從劉勰在文論中立〈原道〉篇的創舉,探討本篇在文論上及《文心雕龍》中的特殊地位。再就書中及篇中論「道」的方式及含義,從形上學的角度切入,闡述〈原道〉篇中「道」的意義。並說明在劉勰的想法中,了解及契入「道」的方法。由此再進一步說明《文心雕龍》中所建構的「文」與「道」關係及其特質。進一步探討〈原道〉篇的形而上學意義及建構「文學形上學」的可能性。並針對《文心雕龍》的特質,闡述依其〈原道〉篇所建構出來的「文學形上學」之特性,並商較其得失。
The critic who constructs his literature theory from Dao has never been found in the same time with Liu Xie or before him by the known data until now. After Liu Xie, The Dao of the literary man who advocate “Gu wen” in the dynasty of Tang、Song were almost considered mainly as the doctrine of Confucian school. Although the academic and philosophic works in pre-Chin and Han dynasty had researched in to and analyzed Dao, but Wen-Hsin Tiao-Lung was the first and unique book in the classical Chinese literary critical works which arranged “On the source of literature from Dao ” as the first chapter of this book. Almost scholars who studied Wen-Hsin Tiao-Lung had explained this chapter from the thought of Liu Xie, and used it to determine and interpret the meaning of Dao in the literary critical articles of Liu Xie. However, they almost borrowed the thoughts about Dao of the schools of pre-Chin and Han dynasty to interpret the thought of Liu Xie, or based on the thoughts Confucian school, Buddhism, Daoism to explain it. Those approaches could not only let us realize the intentions of Liu Xie, but also his understanding about literature. And of course those approaches could not interpret the Dao in Wen-Hsin Tiao-Lung. In the result, everybody speaks his “Dao”, and advocates which he think right and opposes which he think wrong in his mind. It couldn’t really interpret the chapter “On the source of literature from Dao” in Wen-Hsin Tiao-Lung. This paper intends to study the chapter “On the source of literature from Dao” in Wen-Hsin Tiao-Lung. First, I will explain the special status of this chapter in Wen-Hsin Tiao-Lung and classical Chinese literary critical discourses. Second, I will investigate the researching way and the meaning of Dao in Wen-Hsin Tiao-Lung and the chapter “On the source of literature from Dao” in scholars, explain the meaning of Dao in the chapter with metaphysical view, illustrate the methods which let human being comprehend and join Dao in Lui Xei’s think. Third, I will illustrate the characters of relations between Wen and Dao. Fourth, I will study the metaphysical meaning of this chapter and investigate the possibility in constructing literary metaphysics. Further, in the theory of Wen-Hsin Tiao-Lung, I hope to interpret the characters of literary metaphysics which is constructed from “On the source of literature from Dao”, and discuss its merit as well as deficiency.
