《語言暨語言學》(ISSN:1606-822X; Online ISSN: 2309-5067)學術出版品於2000年由中央研究院語言學研究所創刊，是以東亞及太平洋地區語言（包括漢藏語、南島語、南亞語、阿爾泰語及其他相關語言(不包含印歐語及亞非語)）為研究對象之國際語言學專業刊物。迄今所發行的學術出版品包括《語言暨語言學》期刊與系列專書。《語言暨語言學》為專業語言學期刊，出版一般語言學及理論語言學相關稿件，婉謝英語教學與文學相關投稿，亦不收錄翻譯作品。

LANGUAGE AND LINGUISTICS (ISSN:1606-822X; Online ISSN: 2309-5067) is an academic publication of the Institute of Linguistics at Academia Sinica. Established in 2000, it publishes research in general and theoretical linguistics on the languages of East Asia and the Pacific region, including Sino-Tibetan, Austronesian, and the Austroasiatic and Altaic language families (Indo-European and Afro-Asiatic languages are not included). LANGUAGE AND LINGUISTICS publishes both a journal and a monograph series. LANGUAGE AND LINGUISTICS is a pure linguistics journal. We publish articles on general and theoretical linguistic studies, but not articles on applied linguistics such as language teaching, language learning, or translation.

《語言暨語言學》期刊為全Open Access期刊，收錄之文章採「創用CC姓名標示（BY）4.0」授權條款釋出。每年出版一卷，第一、二兩卷為半年刊，每卷兩期；第三卷至第十二卷，每卷四期；第十三卷以後，改為每卷六期；第十八卷以後，改為每卷四期，全英文分冊三期（一、四、十月），全中文分冊一期（七月）。平均每期發表論文六至七篇，約二十萬字。

LANGUAGE AND LINGUISTICS is an Open Access journal. All articles are available under the CC BY 4.0 license. The journal publishes a single volume yearly. Volumes 1 and 2 are published semi-yearly. Each volume contains two issues. Volumes 3 to 12 are published quarterly with four issues per volume. Starting from Volume 13, the journal increases to six issues per year. Beginning in 2017, four issues are published per volume. Each volume contains three English issues (January, April, and October) and one Chinese issue (July). On average each issue has six or seven articles, with 200,000 words.

《語言暨語言學》期刊為唯一同時收錄英文及正體中文之國際語言學期刊。因鼓勵學術研究創新及具有嚴謹評審制度，廣受學界信賴與好評。於2007年起更為SSCI及A&HCI等重要索引資料庫所收錄。且為增加國際引用率及能見度，自2014年起，《語言暨語言學》期刊與英國出版商SAGE共同合作出版並向全球發行。2017年起，與荷蘭全球性知名語言學學術專業出版商John Benjamins Publishing Company合作出版。

LANGUAGE AND LINGUISTICS is the only international linguistic journal that publishes in English and traditional Chinese. With original studies and rigorous review process, the journal has been covered by the following abstracting/indexing services: Social Science Citation Index (SSCI), Arts & Humanities Citation Index (A&HCI), Bibliographie linguistique/Linguistic bibliography, CSA Linguistics & Language Behavior Abstracts (LLBA), Current Contents/Arts and Humanities, Journal Citation Reports/Social Sciences Edition, Linguistics Abstracts, MLA International Bibliography, SCOPUS, and THCI.

To increase international citation rates and visibility, LANGUAGE AND LINGUISTICS has been co-published with international publisher SAGE from 2014 to 2016 (Volume 15-17) and distributed worldwide. Beginning in 2017 (Volume 18), LANGUAGE AND LINGUISTICS is in partnership with internationally renowned John Benjamins Publishing Company, one of the leading publishers in the field of language and linguistics.
